115 GMH not FML

In 1996, my family's home was set on fire about a month before school started. We lost everything and had to start all over again. That fall, i met a girl in my class who gave me half of her toys at random. Her reasoning for this was because she wanted me to have things to play with too. We were in Kindergarden.

Near my house, there is a woman that bakes pies. She leaves a shelf of homebaked pies at the end of her driveway near the road, and a box for any money that anyone wishes to give. She's been doing this for years, and has never once been robbed.

When I was seven, my parents and I were travelling in New York and I rushed onto a subway just as the doors closed, leaving my family on the platform. I was absolutely terrified and hysterical, but one lady took the time to get off with me at the next stop and bring me back to the previous station. Sometimes strangers can be trusted.

GMH gives me hope :)
